Hold and bark – how Odin learns it
A short look at how Odin learns the hold and bark during protection work.
Odin barks very energetically, and the barrier keeps him from harassing or touching the helper. That makes it easy for him to build the right behaviour.
The first reward is the helper backing away. Then we pull Odin back to a short distance, and he gets the prey – which, in the end, is what it’s all about.
Once the behaviour is solid, we gradually reduce the barrier.
